Denied Medical Leave and Accommodations?
Los Angeles Employment Lawyer Representing CA Workers
If you have been denied medical leave and/or reasonable accommodations
for your medical condition or the condition of your spouse or children,
it is important that you hold your employer legally accountable. All employees
are entitled to reasonable accommodations for medical leave and family
emergencies. Employers who fail to uphold this right should be punished.
At Reisman & Reisman, we will review your case to determine if you
should pursue legal action.
As members of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and
a Consumer Attorney Los Angeles (CAALA), we have over 15 years of combined
litigation experience and knowledge of
employment laws. We utilize our extensive legal resources to give each client the personalized
attention he or she deserves. As dedicated advocates of employees'
rights, we only serve employees, not employers. Because we only accept
a limited caseload, you can trust that your case will receive our direct
and undivided attention. Clients appreciate our commitment and the fact
that they can
reach us anytime, day or night.
Your Rights According to the Family Medical Leave Act
As an employee, you have certain rights under the Family Medical Leave
Act. This act was put in place to help employees manage certain circumstances
that might arise in their families without putting their jobs in jeopardy.
According to the Family Medical Leave Act, you are entitled to a total
of 12 weeks of leave across 12-months for reasons such as:
- The birth of a child
- Placing your son or daughter up for adoption or foster care
- To care for a spouse, son, daughter, or parent with a serious health condition
- Active duty for the Armed Forces
